DEMONSTRATION OF GOD’S REST.

There exists a new life in Christ that we are to thrive in. The Spirit of Christ inside us is not just a license to our speaking in a tongue, though important in this walk. He is the Demonstrator and Administrator of this new life in Christ. When we fall into His administration, He becomes our Shepherd that guides us towards all that we require to manifest abundance of the feeding of the Lord.

The Lord takes care of me as his sheep; I will not be without any good thing. He makes a resting-place for me in the green fields: he is my guide by the quiet waters. He gives new life to my soul: he is my guide in the ways of righteousness because of his name. Yes, though I go through the valley of deep shade, I will have no fear of evil; for you are with me, your rod and your support are my comfort. You make ready a table for me in front of my haters: you put oil on my head; my cup is overflowing. Truly, blessing and mercy will be with me all the days of my life; and I will have a place in the house of the Lord all my days.
- Psalm 23:1 – 6. Bible In Basic English. Italics, mine.

“This Is Your Inheritance - To Enter Into Rest!” All these conditions and positions; green fields, quiet waters, ways of righteousness, valley of deep shade, a table, house of the Lord, are not external, physical manifestations, but internal, spiritual positions. Through shady green pastures so rich and so sweet.  God leads His dear children along. The water’s cool flow bathes the weary one’s feet; God leads His dear children along.  Some through the water, some through the flood, some through the fire, but all through the blood.  Some through great sorrow but He gives a song, in the night seasons, and all the day long!

We are coming to an elevated position called REST.

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief”
- Hebrews. 4:9-ll. King James Version. Italics, mine.

So that there is still a Sabbath-keeping for the people of God. For the man who comes into his rest has had rest from his works, as God did from his. Because of this, let us have a strong desire to come into that rest, and let no one go after the example of those who went against God's orders.
- Hebrews 4:9-11. Bible In Basic English. Italics, mine.

Rest is our inheritance. You don’t inherit what you have worked for, but you acquire what somebody else has already laboured for. As The people of God we will have come to the end of our own ways, we will have tried our wits out to fend for ourselves and to satisfy ourselves. We will not know from where comes our deliverance. We shall look here and there for help, we shall call this one and that one to ‘bail’ us out, but the arm of flesh shall fail us, for our help comes alone from the Lord. It shall be needful for us to look up to the Lord, knowing that He truly cares for us and love us and has promised that we shall never be ashamed. God is in effect bringing His people to such an hour where their all-sufficiency shall be in Him. In that moment, it shall seem as if all talents and natural abilities shall fail. All natural abilities, given by the Lord to such a people would have wholly surrendered unto Him that He might be all in all in the lives of His own.

In this season of the culmination of the harvest of the Lord, it should not pass over the people of God without making a greater effort to possess that which He has promised us.

“Are you willing to pay the full price of that which I have committed unto you as a sign unto My people? The price is all that you have, but I shall recompense thee greatly and you shall know that I have been in it and have ordained it all. Possess the land, even this mountain, and you shall be glad, for it shall be a token unto you that I shall bring to an end all striving in your flesh to do those things that are appointed unto you.” He says.

As we will be basking in the beauty of this mountain of rest in the Lord we will at times wonder of what the Lord is teaching us.

“There is a place of quiet rest, near to the heart of God.” It will all be about peace. It will be awkward to think of it but, we will be laughing with joy. It will be as if the Lord were speaking directly to us, confirming His Word to us! His processes are to us a procedure to make us a sign, a beacon, a way – shower to the rest of the people who are in pursuit of His will and purposes.

When we have, in faith, spent all that we have and are to pursue the position of rest in Him, our inheritance will be released to us. The timing of the Lord is incredible. He is never a moment too late!

For this cause says the Lord God, My servants will have food, but you will be in need of food: my servants will have drink, but you will be dry: my servants will have joy, but you will be shamed:
My servants will make songs in the joy of their hearts, but you will be crying for sorrow, and making sounds of grief from a broken spirit.
- Isaiah 65:13, 14. Bible In Basic English. Italics, mine.

In the process of time, our present position away from His rest will no longer be practical for us. Asking the Lord to make His will clear to us in the matters relating to our new position will be inevitable.

During such moments, we will feel freedom and release to discern that new position as it appears in the spirit. It is the moment to walk very softly before the Lord as we look at new realms of His leading in the Spirit.

Prayer in these times is not an asking for or about ‘things’ at all. It’s just seeking the Lord. In those times, impressions are a familiar zone. Being sensitive as to hear (or, should I say, see) these impressions even when we pray is of utmost importance as they tend to remain uppermost in our thoughts.

In prayer, matters of redemption become intricate. By redemption, we are seeking for something different from salvation but all the same part of it. We have salvation; we are searching for the divine nature of the Lord to be inworked into our life. That is what rings about salvation.

Full redemption. Now, that sounds quite a different matter! Full redemption, or salvation, is,“…the salvation of our bodies.” - Romans. 8:23.

And not only so, but we who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we have sorrow in our minds, waiting for the time when we will take our place as sons, that is, the salvation of our bodies.

For we are conscious that all living things are weeping and sorrowing in pain together till now.
- Romans 8:23, 22. Bible In Basic English. Italics, mine.

We are coming into His rest, and ceasing from our own works. One must enter into rest before he can hope to possess the fullness of his redemption. The rest flows into and is a part of the fullness.

The world so often portrays the things of the Spirit if we have spiritual eyes to see and to hear.

And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with power and great glory. But when these things come about, (the things between verses 20 – 26) let your heads be lifted up, because your salvation is near.
- Luke 21:27, 28. Bible In Basic English.

The Lord, for some practical purposes, will use physical things to speak to us the things that happen in our spirits, as to show us the strange dealings taking place inside us to teach us of the various stages of spiritual experience that we must pass through.
